Understanding anger in children of different ages can help parents deal with their tantrums better. It is important to note that kids of all ages (even adults) throw tantrums when angered, it is just that they present themselves in different forms. Ever heard of the terrible twos? This is the stage where the child lacks communications skills to express how they are feeling under stress and naturally, resorts to crying.
Young children with ages ranging from 2 to 4 years old will throw the occasional tantrum to let their parents know that something is terribly amiss. Parents should encourage their children to verbalize their feelings and they, in return, should be patient enough to teach their kids simple one syllable words to help them in describing the source of their stress.
